Welcome to The Lucid Divide. “The Fringe Mystic” has left the ashram to make way for this renaming of my Substack. If you are already a faithful subscriber, thank you, stay vigilant, no need for alarm. Only the name has changed. I have not flipped sides. I am always and forever un-controlled opposition. And I will never make any secret-society vows.
The Lucid Divide will continue to explore reality, spirituality, and modern hysteria. The substance of the content will remain the same, but the presentation and methods will broaden. The hour seems dire in a world gone mad, and change feels necessary.
You must be wondering, “What is The Lucid Divide?”
The Lucid Divide is a transmission that breaches the static of our TV screens in a feature film called “Cult of Nightmares.” It is a warning from the future telling us that reality is not as it seems and that a Great Global Disappearance is imminent. When I wrote and shot the film in 2017-2018, I knew little about the “agenda” for the 21st century. I could never have imagined the lockdowns of 2020. And I did not foresee the diabolical campaign designed to tempt humanity into breaching its bodily autonomy. Yet somehow, the movie was prescient.
“Cult of Nightmares” is a very independent sci-fi conspiracy horror film that got stalled (like everything else that fateful year!) after I finished remixing the sound in January 2020. The movie finally got distribution last year.
I increasingly suspect that movies, books, and other hard-fought creative efforts contain coded messages embedded from higher places. We only need to pay close attention; they will reveal countless clues about where we are and why we are here. For this reason, The Lucid Divide still fascinates me long after I “transcribed it” to paper and then film.
I plan to flesh out my theory of such “hidden messages” in film and media (not to mention the world around us) and many other strange theories—here, where you are now, on your Black Mirror device. According to the movie (“C-of-N”), The Lucid Divide is a place where “realities intersect, and nothing can be trusted.” And from my vantage point, this is precisely where we now stand.
