You can’t wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.
- Navajo proverb
People with a knack for prose or a flare for memes have been publishing lots of “We will never forget”-type posts. And with Christmas approaching, it is obvious why. Painful memories of 2021’s perverse holiday message—“the ethical reasons for excluding ‘unvaccinated’ family members from Christmas festivities”—has come back to haunt us.
Those who obeyed the siren call of the injection and later fell prey to the nonsensical and conspicuously vindictive urge to boycott loved ones from holiday gatherings want everything to be just water under the bridge. And those who faced discrimination at the hands of “family” are still burning up inside.
But as the snowy dust settles, the REAL meaning behind the madness of Holiday 2021 becomes self-evident.
To be “vaccinated” yet test positive on some cheap, home-pregnancy-style test is ludicrous. Yet, in December 2021, stories were going around that the double-and-triple-jabbed—like a flock of hypochondriacs—were getting flu-like symptoms or panicking over nothing (...i.e., the results from a meaningless test).
In other words, the promised land for those who did their civic duty was meaningless—and that was the meaning.
You can’t reason your way out of this
Many of us, including me, did our so-called part to try to warn, “educate,” and prevent our friends and family from falling prey to the Ministry of Health & Truth propaganda. I made videos. My best friend sent out testimonial evidence. But none of it changed a thing. Either you saw it in plain sight—or you didn’t.
The fundamental takeaway, for me, of the last (almost) four years is that you can’t EVEN take a horse to water—much less make it drink.
There is something much deeper going on in this COVID mindf*ck reality that defies reason.
You could have locked a true believer in a room with walls plastered with a thousand proofs that there was no pandemic, that lockdowns killed, and that vaccines maimed and murdered, but it wouldn’t have changed a damn thing. You cannot educate, reform, or wake up anyone who is pretending to be asleep.
The NEED for the white picket fence
The haunting opening of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet, with its slow-motion waving fireman and soft-focus, white-picket-fence suburbia, is the story of our reality. There is a strong need in the minds of most for the world to conform to something it is not.
The people we pass on the street bear only a resemblance to the person looking back at us in the mirror. And it has always been this way. Holiday 2021 was just the nail in the coffin of the enchanting delusion that we live in the same reality.
If your takeaway from what happened two years ago is that we need more re-education and more earnest efforts to wake people up, you might be missing the point. They don’t want to “wake up.” They never did. And the next time, they will disappoint you again. And they will stab you in the back…again. And will need to be educated……again.
But only if you let them.
They will never wake up
There is something much deeper going on here. Not just the machinations of some deep state on behalf of the elite.
A veil has been lifted. But not everyone can see it. Not even those who are fighting the good fight. And perhaps the point of it all (or the nonsense of it all) is that the lesson is too simple to be true:
—That they are in a different dream. And will never wake up.
Waking up also means admitting you were wrong. Wrong not just about the last three years, but about so much more. Ideas that you were indoctrinated with since being a child (ex. vaccination). I think the older you are the harder it is to overcome these hurdles. It also means that you were not the nice person you thought you were. But never say never.
