But if you wanna leave, take good care
Hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there...
Oh, baby, baby, it’s a wild world
It’s hard to get by just upon a smile
—Cat Stevens
You are miraculous...
From the moment you take your FIRST BREATH to the moment you take your LAST BREATH, the elements of Nature itself are airborne, soaring, and vibrating. The vast minerals of the Earth. The miraculous plasma of the Air. The structured waters of the Sea. And the fiery passion of the Sun itself.
You are all of these things—plus a whole lot more.
And when death comes, as it always must (because you are FAR beyond anything this phantasmal world has to offer), the constituents of Nature itself will rapidly disembody, the minerals of the Earth will collapse to the ground, and the magic that is you will have left the theater.
I am not a Cat Stevens fan or anything, and I don’t really know much about his life or work, but my “spiritS” are nudging me first thing this morning with his song, “Wild World”:
—There is a gentleness to the man captured in this 1971 clip. He says, “I think I’m basically talking about myself in this one”… the eyes, voice, and mannerisms of a beautiful, sensitive artist.
Some—many—in this world lumber fearlessly through life, seemingly oblivious to the cruel thorns of the hedges that flank us at every turn. But there are others, like myself, who are—a little delicate.
An incoming thought, a feeling, the disingenuous gesture of another, or even what appears to be nothing at all can leave its mark. These people feel everything. Maybe too much, or maybe EXACTLY what they were meant to feel—perhaps even for the betterment of all.
They are the canaries in the coal mine of a wild world gone mad.
Take care of yourself.
I mean it.
The darkness of Autumn, if you’re in my neck of the realm, is—rapidly!—burning the candle at both ends: daylight is getting shorter, fast! And although there is great beauty in the hue of the falling leaves, the brown-gray they leave behind is the canvas of death.
Be careful you look within before looking outward.
Because (and I’ve said it before) without YOU, there is nothing. You can be of NO HELP to anyone, even those you care about most if you forget to take care of yourself first. Or if you fall under the comatose spell.
I met several courageous people who worked in the Canadian healthcare industry who—in another Autumn, the Fall of 2021—were given a choice:
Either get yourself injected with a dubious (at best) chemical substance or lose your job.
They chose THEIR HOLY TEMPLE over employment—and an uncertain future because of it.
The cruelty of their employers was off the charts.
Privy to the messaging of their bosses and the government directives to hospitals and such—anyone could see that it was a well-coordinated, secretly funded assault. And it was happening simultaneously in other countries. I later learned that the federal employment insurance offices had been ordered to create a unique code for these “disobedient” and “non-compliant” men and women.
There was money changing hands in back rooms—of that, I am sure.
Why would any company, health-related or otherwise, intentionally and forcefully reduce their staff, create cesspools of division among the rank and file, and put their shareholders in future legal jeopardy (they were CLEARLY breaking laws) for a chemical injection that EVEN THE MANUFACTURERS bragged did not “prevent infection” or stop the “spread”?
Where are they now, these heroes?
Scattered, I’m sure.
Some have found other means of survival. Perhaps lesser jobs. The headlines of court wins against mandates are promising but misleading. There is no tsunami of karmic restitution going on here. Most are just doing the best they can to move on and survive.
And the crowd is silent.
I guess the point of bringing this up—is the CRUELTY. It’s a wild, cruel world.
Be good to yourself.
Don’t make excuses for why you can’t take a break in your day to walk away from whatever you’re doing and stretch. Take a moment to close your eyes and breathe life into yourself.
You can’t necessarily get by on a smile with others. But smile at yourself. When you pass the mirror—look into your eyes and find the child.
There is a twinkle of light in there.
Don’t let anything snuff it out, ever.
Ever.
